On my mind today:
Since when did we as a society decide that mediocrity is OK?
When did we say, well i tried, i didn’t give it my all, nor was i really aiming to succeed, but its ok. I’m alright with a satisfactory product. What does that even mean…to me is reads as “our product isn’t great, but its good enough to market and sell to you our consumer.” Now, this feeling I’m having today doesn’t just have to do with my field, it extends to all society, educators, government, and businesses. I know that sometimes i expect too much out of folks, that i maybe an overachiever, but is that really wrong to expect the best out of someone? Is it wrong to notice some one’s grand potential and want them to raise the bar a bit?
