About the Show
A new work adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s only published novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray is set in 1880’s Victorian England. The Picture of Dorian Gray tells the story of the young Dorian and his Faustian quest for immortality that ultimately leads to his own dissolution at the hands of his vices: lust, greed, and vanity. The costume design and make-up effects achieve a sense of the characters leaving Dorian as they wither without him. Ultimately he joins them in death and deterioration as he becomes nothing more than the image of the picture he so greatly admires.
